Pastry Cinnamon Scrolls - a quick and fool proof recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 lined baking tray

Ingredients

  • 1 store bought block of flaky puff pastry (400 grams)
  • 50 grams softened butter (not melted)
  • ¼ cup soft brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Pre heat the oven to 200℃ (390℉).
  • Soften the butter and set aside.
  • Roll out the pastry into a rectangle shape (about 3mm in thickness).
  • place the brown sugar and cinnamon into the butter and whip with a small whisk or fork until smooth and light in colour.
  • Use a palette knife to spread the cinnamon mixture over the pastry. Get right into all the corners and edges.
  • Roll up tightly and cut into slices, about 3cm in thickness.
    Place on to your lined tray and bake for 15-20 miuntes.
  • Leave for 10 minutes before cooling on a wire rack.
