Tasty Toasted Cheese Mousetraps
Enjoy these dunked in some homemade soup or by themselves.

Servings: 4 People
- 1 egg
- 1 packet onion soup mix (see alternative in blog post)
- 200 grams grated cheese (choose a flavoursome cheese like tasty or Colby)
- 1 finely chopped tomato
- 1 dollop relish
- ½ tsp cayenne powder
- pepper and salt
- chopped parsley (a small handful)
- 1 loaf of ciabatta bread
Heat the grill (broiler) on a low setting.
Prepare the cheese, tomato and parsley.
Place all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl and mix together.
Cut you loaf of ciabatta bread into 3cm (inch) slices.
Arrange the bread onto a baking tray and top with the mousetrap mixture.
Grill (broil) the mousetraps for 3-5 minutes until the cheese mixture is bubbly and golden.
Enjoy on their own or dipped into a big bowl of home-made soup.
