Simple Sweet Soda Scones

Ingredients

cups
self-raising flour
¼
cup
sugar
1
cup
cream
fresh or UHT
1
cup
soda water
Pinch
of salt
optional
Extra flour for dusting
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C fan bake. Line a baking tray.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar and salt.
Pour in the cream and soda water.
Gently mix with a dough whisk or knife until just combined.
Tip onto a lightly floured bench and gently bring together.
Pat into a round about 3–4cm thick.
Cut into 12 squares
Place close together on the tray for soft sides.
Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden and risen.
Cool slightly and serve warm with butter, jam and cream
