Homemade Spring Onion Powder
A simple way to preserve your glut of spring onions into a flavoursome powder

- Fresh spring onions (Use both green tops and white bulbs)
Wash and dry your spring onions thoroughly.
Chop into even pieces to pop into the blender (wash and dry your blender)
Blend in small batches to make a pulp.
Line your trays and smooth the paste over them in a thin layer and place into your source for drying;Dehydrator at 50–60°C, or a fan oven at your lowest setting. This can take 4–6 hours.
Cool completely, then blitz into a fine powder.
Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dark pantry for up to 6 months.
